Josh Barnes
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Josh is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate who believes therapy should be a place where you can come as you are. With nearly a decade of experience working alongside foster youth and their families, as well as four years as a behavioral specialist in middle and high schools, he brings a laid-back, curious approach to understanding each person's unique story. He works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, and other challenges, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other approaches to fit each person's needs and goals. Josh also recognizes that for many people, faith and spirituality are an important part of their story and sense of meaning. When desired, he welcomes Christian faith and spirituality into the counseling process, creating space to explore how faith, values, and personal beliefs may shape the challenges someone is facing and the path they want to take forward. Above all, Josh hopes to create a space where people feel accepted, understood, and free to be themselves without fear of judgment.
